Job Summary
As a Drone Controller Assembly Technician, you will work within our production division to build out our Drone products from scratch to completion. You will work in a dynamic team setting with several other technicians. You will work with a variety of manufacturing tools and methods to construct the complex drone systems. These include, but are not limited to: electronics soldering, 3D printing, electronics configuration, small hand assembly and more. You will be expected to closely follow technical schematics and manufacturing manuals during the course of the production process. Hylio’s drone controllers are essentially tablets/laptops. You will assemble them similarly to how you might assemble a DIY home PC build.
Responsibilities
- Closely follow technical schematics, assembly instructions, and guidance from supervisors in order to construct drone controller systems from scratch to completion
- Manufacturing and assembly of physical structures/components
- Electronics soldering
- Configuration of computer components
- Installation of thermal systems and other electronics
- Detailed QA testing of assembled controllers
Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined with experience using small hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical assembly instructions
- Good attitude, willing to stay on task and learn new skills from your supervisors
- Computer literacy; use of Microsoft office suite, Google Suite
- Preferred: previous experience assembling computers (home build experience is good!)
- Preferred: professional, academic, or personal experience in IT or computer assembly
- No higher education required
