Our primary advisor is one of the founders of ROGO, a robotic soil sampling Ag-tech company that started from zero and is now across the US with 30+ rigs.
What we do: During late summer, we transport autonomous spray drones to customer fields, then operate it to apply chemicals to optimize crop health for that farmer, then move to the next field.
What you get to do (the Job):
- Work with ops partner (2-person crew)
- Drive large flatbed truck to field locations
- Load and unload drone between fields
- Operate agricultural drones to apply fungicides accurately and efficiently and SAFELY
- Manage and maintain chemicals and equipment
- Assist in efficient pit stops to reload drone batteries and chemicals
- Follow FAA Part 107 regulations and Indiana State Chemist requirements

You should be able to (Skills/Requirements):
- Use a phone, apps, and technology easily
- Communicate well and be detail oriented

- Valid IN drivers license & transportation to pickup location
- MUST Pass Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot Certification, Indiana Pesticide Applicator Core, Indiana Category 11 Aerial Applicator License (Not needed before applying, but before training)
- Equipment experience, Ag experience
Working Location, Environment and Timing
- Training first half of June
- Estimated season : June 15-July 1st
- Estimated season : 6-8 weeks. Estimated Season : Last week of August
- Workdays: Mon-Sat as weather allows, so 5-6 days/wk
- Hours: 12-15 hours per day; expect 65+ hours per week
- Home on Sundays
- Travel each day in West Central Indiana (Indy, Lafayette, Terre Haute) region
- Hotels overnight when needed, doubling up in double-bed hotel rooms with ops partner.
Compensation
- Base of $20-$25 per hour dependent on general work experience
- End-of-Season Performance Bonus $0-$10 per hour based on acres, quality, and safety formula
