Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drone Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating drones for application of agricultural products such as liquid fertilizer and seeds. The Drone Operator will ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations while delivering high-quality results in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires a strong understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and mechanical knowledge to effectively manage drone operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate drones for various projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and maintenance checks on drone equipment.
- Analyze data collected from drone flights, utilizing GIS software for mapping and reporting.
- Collaborate with project teams to understand specific requirements and deliverables.
- Maintain accurate records of flight logs, equipment usage, and maintenance activities.
- Stay updated on Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and industry best practices related to drone operations.
Experience
- Proven experience in operating drones for commercial or industrial applications.
- Familiarity with GIS software and its application in aerial data analysis.
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) governing drone operations.
- Experience in photography or film production is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge related to drone maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in dynamic environments.
