Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chemical Batcher to join our team. The Chemical Batcher will play a crucial role in our forestry operations by accurately batching chemicals for use in spray drones. This position requires a strong understanding of chemical formulations, precise measurement techniques, and a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities:
Batch chemicals according to precise formulations for use in forestry spray drones.
Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures for handling, mixing, and storing chemicals.
Maintain accurate records of chemical inventory, usage, and batch formulations.
Collaborate with forestry technicians and drone operators to ensure timely and efficient deployment of chemical solutions.
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of batching equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Assist in the development and testing of new chemical formulations to optimize effectiveness and environmental impact.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience in chemical batching, mixing, or formulation, preferably in an agricultural or forestry setting.
Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately measure and mix chemicals according to precise formulations.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to chemical handling and storage.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
Flexibility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain, sometimes in remote locations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.

Pay: Starting Hourly wage of 23/hour, increase once qualified to be a pilot
Must complete ODA Laws and Safety Exam with a Forestry and Agricultural Herbicide endorsement prior to start date.
