Position Overview
The Drone Department Mixer/Loader is responsible for preparing and loading crop protection materials for drone application in accordance with company procedures and pesticide regulations. The role includes inventory management, equipment preparation, and support of agricultural crews as needed. This position is field-based and reports directly to the company’s drone pilot in command. While the role supports drone operations, it does not include piloting responsibilities.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends depending on seasonal workload. Daily hours may fluctuate based on operational needs, which include working days or nights.
Key Responsibilities
Chemical Mixing & Loading - 35%
- Read and interpret pesticide recommendations to accurately mix crop protection products.
- Stage nurse tanks, equipment, and required PPE in advance of application.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly.
- Support compliance efforts by verifying proper pesticide postings and assisting with regulatory documentation.
Chemical Inventory Management - 50%
- Track and document incoming chemicals; ensure proper labeling and storage.
- Maintain an organized and compliant storage area.
- Ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are on file for all products.
- Conduct weekly inventory audits and submit reports to the PCA.
- Coordinate with field supervisors and assist with product-related needs.
General Field Support - 15%
- Operate tractors or other equipment as needed.
- Assist with general labor or fieldwork based on company demands.
Requirements
- Ability to read, understand and interpret pesticide recommendations & pesticide labels
- Must possess valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass the required Federal Aviation Administration and Department of Pesticide Regulation certifications. The company will facilitate the study material, time, and mentorship during the certification process
- Ability to utilize a respirator for the application of pesticides
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, push, and pull throughout the work period.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50-75 lbs.
- Ability to hear and detect operational issues not visible to the eye.
- Must be able to read and understand safety and precautionary documentation.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
