Job Summary
As a Drone Technician, you will work within our production division to build out our Drone products from scratch to completion. You will work in a dynamic team setting with several other technicians. You will work with a variety of manufacturing tools and methods to construct the complex drone systems. These include, but are not limited to: electronics soldering, machining, 3D printing, plastic molding, and more. You will be expected to closely follow technical schematics and manufacturing manuals during the course of the production process.
Responsibilities
● 15 hr/week manufacturing/assembling Hylio Inc.’s production UAS
- Soldering/assembling electromechanical systems including flight controllers, power systems, and communications devices
- UAS Frame parts manufacturing and assembly
- Quality Assurance Testing in strict accordance with Hylio Inc.’s testing policies
● 5 hr/week flight testing Hylio Inc.’s production UAS
- Performing Quality Assurance flight testing of production UAS before sale to a customer
- Assess flight performance in accordance with strict Hylio Inc. QA standards
● 5 hr/week manufacturing/assembling Hylio Inc.’s new development products
- Soldering/assembling electromechanical systems according to strict guidance from Hylio Inc. engineers
- UAS Frame parts manufacturing and assembly for new product internal testing purposes
● 10 hr/week flight testing Hylio Inc.’s new development products
- Quality Assurance and analysis flight testing of new UAS frames
- Flight testing Hylio Inc.’s software developments
- Hylio Inc. develops a great deal of flight control software and all flight control software updates must be thoroughly tested before releasing to public/private entity users
● 5 hr/week miscellaneous customer service
- Provide crop spray services to local farms for purposes of research, advertising, and customer relations
- Repair customer drones returned to the shop for damage
Qualifications
● Direct experience working with UAS
● High School / GED Required
● 4 years’ experience required as an Agricultural UAS Technician Required
● Spanish Fluency Required
● Direct experience piloting UAS for agricultural purposes
● Direct experience assembling large UAS (250+lbs)
● Strong understanding of agricultural chemical applications
● Strong computer literacy; Use of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and various office administrative software applications will be required
● Preferred: Experience with UAS obstacle detection and avoidance systems
● Preferred: Experience with UAS power systems
Salary: $95,000.00 / year
Schedule:
● 8 hour shift
● Monday to Friday
